‘Verso’ is a series of paintings in which I “reproduce” canvases and panels by different painters. Maintaining the exact dimensions of the reference painting, I remove every information related to shape and color, focusing on the eyes of the characters represented and on the direction of their gazes.
This work refers to the panel ‘San Giorgio e il drago’ by Vitale da Bologna, preserved at Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna.
