‘Verso’ is a series of paintings in which I “reproduce” canvases and panels by different painters. Maintaining the exact dimensions of the reference painting, I remove every information related to shape and color, and I focus on the eyes of the characters represented and on the direction of their gazes.
This work refers to the panel ‘Madonna col Bambino’ by Cima da Conegliano, preserved at Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna.
