STILL FILMS

2007

'Still films' are stories organised according to the classic narrative structure of three acts. The sequence of the three acts – each act unfolding in a single static image – gives life to stories that have just been sketched out, emphasysing the role of "off-screen", of "borders" and above all "the reader", who is implicitly invited to fill the spaces with his or her own imagination.
Some of the images are taken by camera or by video camera, other images are extrapolated from old 8mm films.
